Graffiti

Hello--

a) Post your graffiti descriptions in the blog and read a couple of other students' descriptions and comment on them. Deadline: Monday Dec 15.

b) Read the article (Graffiti-1 file) and 9 comments about graffiti (Graffiti-2 file) and the article Writing on the Wall I sent you in email on Dec 10. Study the opinions expressed in them and decide which of them can be used in the discussion of the question whether graffiti should be considered as art or a crime. Then see whether some of the points you have singled out repeat - it's possible because you will work with 2 articles - or whether any of them can be combined because they add to each other. When finished, list your points in a blog entry which should be posted in the blog Monday Dec. 15.

All in all, you are posting your graffiti description and a list of points to consider in an essay discussing whether graffiti is art or a crime. Your graffiti description can be used as an opening hook.

Then read several posts by your peers and respond to them.
